Can we talk about arms for a second? Arms are kind of hard to hide. Well, I suppose we can hide them in the winter with long sleeves and sweaters. We don’t need to though. Do you know what it takes to maintain great looking arms? Just dip! Dip, dip, dip! I know it is hard sometimes to find time to exercise which is why I recommend walking so much. Arms are something that many of us don’t think about however until it is summer and we have to wear sleeveless shirts.
Guys and gals don’t be embarrassed by your arms, do something about them. When I say do something about them it can be as simple as taking five or 10 minutes, four times a week and doing dips. What do you need? Just you and a set of stairs baby!
- Find a set of stairs;
- Sit on the second or third step (depending on the height of the steps);
- Put your hands down by your hips, place them there on the steps;
- Pick up your bum and move away from the step leaving just enough clearance for you to do dips;
- Come all the way down without touching the bottom step and back up again.
I guess you would sort of describe it as a backward pushup. Start out with just 15 or 20 and build up week by week. If you can get to the point where you do 50, 75 or 100 four times a week; you will be amazed at the shape of your arms. Oh, and if you get really good, lift one leg at a time while you’re doing the dips, this will of course make them harder. I am sharing this tip about a dip because I hear men and women alike complain endlessly about their arms.
